Faith Simpson, CPA, Nonprofit Services Associate

Faith earned her undergraduate degree in Economics (1994) and Master of Science in Accounting (1996) from the University of Illinois.  Joining our team in 2010, Faith brings a wealth of experience in both private and public accounting to augment her current specialization in audit and tax work with our nonprofits.  Combining the technical and communication skills so crucial to our profession, our clients especially appreciate Faith’s ability to minimize disruption to normal operations while efficiently and insightfully conducting audit fieldwork.

Our Credentials

In addition to maintaining compliance with the demanding annual continuing professional education requirements of our profession, our firm participates in the triennial Peer Review program prescribed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Board of Accountancy. Our firm was last reviewed in May 2016.  As in each of our prior reviews, the resulting assessment of the quality of our accounting and auditing practice was the highest rating available in our industry.

To stay  on the leading edge of standards and trends of the nonprofit industry, on a bi-annnual basis Jim Richman attends the AICPA’s National Not-for-Profit Conference. At this conference, leaders and policy-makers of the not-for-profit sector of our profession present on all aspects of nonprofit organizations, including accounting, auditing, tax, governance, and fund-development.

Our nonprofit service associates maintain compliance with the additional continuing education required by Federal regulations for firms performing audits under the Uniform Guidance for nonprofits that expend more than $750,000 in Federal awards.
